About Me

I grew up in Ramona, Oklahoma. The kind of small town where everybody knew everybody. My folks were honest, hard-working and loving parents. My sisters were a few years older than me which led to their friends treating me like a little brother. Our extended family all lived within fifty miles and that was quite a few people. So family get-together's involved music, fun and lots of food.

My mother's side of the family were the musically gifted influences on me. My uncle played a fiddle and aunt played a dobro. There were several guitar players and I learned to play guitar, banjo, bass and anything else with strings except a fiddle. I never could get the hang of the fiddle.

I learned to write songs at a very young age and still enjoy writing. I'm always listening and learning from other songwriters to further develop that process. I have to admit that I get a great deal of satisfaction from writing and performing original pieces of music, especially when the audience enjoys and appreciates it.

The greatest joy for me is performing. I love connecting with the audience.
